V358 LYR purkautuu

Laitetaan tännekin hieman tiedotteita.

Tällä kertaa on purkautumassa kääpiönova V358 LYR joka edellisen kerran purkautui vuonna 1965 !
Edellisestä kerrasta onkin siis jo hieman aikaa. Tämä on himmeä kohde purkautuessaankin (nyt noin 16 magnitudia) joten käytännössä tämä vaatii CCD-kameran ja aika pitkän valotuksen jos haluaa hyvän SnR arvon.

Aikasarjat ovat tervetulleita (jos jossain päin maata on pilvetöntä).

This outburst is the first one since the discovery of this object in
photographic plates in 1965 by Hoffmeister (1967, Astron. Nach., 289,
205).  You can see this plate image in Antipin et al. (2004, IBVS 5544,
http://www.konkoly.hu/cgi-bin/IBVS?5544).  The recurrence cycle of the
outburst is 43 years!?, the longest one among dwarf novae, exceeding
that of WZ Sge, although the faintness at the maximum of this object
may have hindered our detection.  No detection of the quiescent
couterpart in Arne's deep image still suggests that the outburst
amplitude is large, and the outburst is rare.

We strongly encourage time-resolved photometry (unfiltered one is OK,
of course), and spectrocopy if possible.
