Exceterin yliopiston juuri julkaistu tutkimus kertoo ulkovalaisulla olevan vaikutusta selkärangattomien ekologiaan. Tutkimuksen johtaja arvio, että "...light pollution could be having a dramatic effect on wildlife in our towns and cities."
