Aamuyöstä olikin näköjään selkeätä. Enpä huomannut joten jäi aamu hyödyntämättä.
Jälleen on AAVSOlla HST/COS projekteja menossa. Nämä tarjoavat hienon mahdollisuuden tähtiharrastajalle osallistua Hubble avaruusteleskoopin kanssa tehtävään havaintotyöhön.

Yllä olevassa listassa on 40 kohdetta joita on tarkoitus havaita tulevina kuukausina. Huomatkaa, että kaikki kohteet eivät näy Suomesta käsin.
Lisäksi alla vielä muutama lisäkohde kyseiseen projektiin. Valitettavasti vain yksi alla olevista kohteista on suomesta käsin hyvin havaittavissa (HS 2214+2845) ja tuo SDSS J001153.08-064739.1 on sen verran alhaalla että sen havaitseminen esimerkiksi Komakalliolla voi olla vaikeaa tai mahdotonta (puuraja).

Yritän itse osallistua näihin säiden salliessa. Syyskuu on ollut merkillisen sateinen. Pääsin syyskuussa havaitsemaan vain kolmena yönä. Yhden yön tosin menetin flunssan takia.

Following on AAVSO Alert Notice 471 (Gaensicke, Patterson, and
Henden, www.aavso.org/aavso-alert-notice-471), the second set
of targets the HST COS (Cosmic Origins Spectrograph) will be
observing has been announced.

Please begin monitoring these cataclysmic variables nightly in
preparation for more intensive coverage when the HST observation
dates are announced. Instructions are given in Alert Notice 471.
Charts for these targets may be created using VSP
(www.aavso.org/vsp).
Please report observations promptly to the AAVSO International
Database using the names given in the table (the primary VSX
names). If you see a target in outburst, please contact the AAVSO
immediately and post a message to the Observations and Campaigns
& Observations Reports forum (http://www.aavso.org/forum).
Your observations will be crucial to the success of this campaign.
